getting closer!!

I did it! Yikes - it took some time in prayer and meditation but I finally hit the "book it" button this morning. I now own a one-way ticket from John F Kennedy airport to the capital city of Zambia! I will leave NYC at 10:30 pm on January 15th and arrive in Lusaka on January 17th at 6:50 am.

Please pray for the following:
1 - to wrap up a million loose ends before the end of the year
2 - to see more churches get on board and excited about what God is doing in Africa
3 - for the Lord to provide more labourers for the harvest
4 - for the Lord Jesus Christ to be lifted up in every aspect!

noble

This past Sunday was another great time on the deputation trail. Originally I was scheduled to preach at a church in Columbia, Mississippi on Sunday morning - on Saturday the pastor contacted me and I was notified he needed to reschedule. Just a week earlier I had met a pastor that wanted me in his church but I just didn't have time on the schedule - I called and he quickly changed plans so I could come and preach at his church! Praise the LORD!! The name of the church on Sunday morning is called Berean Baptist Church - and as the Bible states, the Bereans were noble. This church was a true blessing - not only did the pastor go out of his way to allow me in but the church welcomed me with open arms! It certainly is a humbling experience to be a part of churches that go out of their way because of the love for what God is doing in and around the world!

The King is coming

Yesterday I traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to present the work in Zambia and share what God is doing in Africa! The preacher allowed me to show my video as well as speak to the people for a few minutes. This little church (Fellowship Baptist) has so many missionaries that come in that they no longer allow them the full Sunday evening service - the Pastor was telling me he was rarely getting to preach to his own people on Sunday nights... obviously you can see the missions heart this church has!

The preacher spoke on a passage having to do with king David returning to his thrown... but he made reference/application how King Jesus will return to His thrown - a good reminder to live godly and always be watc
hing and waiting!

BEAMS

Bible Education and Missionary Service (BEAMS). I am staying at a facility in Mississippi that specializes in getting hard cover KJV bibles to missionaries free of charge around the world. The campus has a warehouse, office building, and prophets chamber. Dr. Freret has allowed me to use the free housing here in Gulfport while I preach at various churches in the area.

The last two days groups came to the campus to help us pack up Thai Bibles to be sent to two different missionaries in Thailand. What a blessing!!! This ministry is focused on getting God's word to people around the world that would otherwise not have a copy of Scripture for themselves.

Please pray for this ministry - this year the BEAMS team will send over 100,000 Bibles around the world! Kafulafuta Baptist Mission has been the recipient of thousands of these Bibles over the last few years.

Savannah

This last week myself and another man from FBBC drove to Savannah, Georgia to attend the IAM conference. The conference is just a glorified missions conference focused primarily on sub-sahara Africa. From the beginning to the end the conference lifted up the Name of Jesus Christ! We heard from different preachers as they opened God's word and edified us in light of the command to go forth into all the world. Throughout the conference, many would reiterate the words - I just feel full and overwhelmed with all God has showed me! As David said - "my cup runneth over"!

We do appreciate all those that have prayed for our trip, the conference, and the Lord's hand upon everything. We encountered zero problems from beginning to end, had 3 people receive Christ, and made friends with many more of God's people --- all in all, a great time to rejoice! Praise God!!
