Christmas
The Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is recorded as one of the greatest and most profound events in all of history - yet, the 21st century has done much to minimize the need for a Saviour with replacement ideals of family, friends, and simple gift giving. This time of year symbolizes hope and reconciliation of God and man - no greater gift can be received than the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ which provides each of us a great reason to celebrate the birth of God manifest in the flesh. However, although the birth of Christ takes on much significance, little of that significance is transferred to our lives as we busily shop, party, prepare and spend ourselves thoroughly on the lesser truths of Christmas.
