King Saul

Today Dan Jalowiec preached from Samuel about the life of King Saul. It was a great reminder and great message about the choices we all make.

After the service we visited a family from our church with a sick child. We sang a song and prayed over the child.

From there we drove to see the chief to discuss some future projects.  I was able to pray with him after our meeting and truly commit him into the hands of the Lord.

Testimony Time

On Saturday we visited the people at Chinjala Baptist Church. This church has been around for a while but has struggled over the last few years to move forward spiritually.  I was able to help with some teachings, provide some bibles, and encourage the people.

While we were on our furlough Jan Jalowiec took over teaching of just the ladies. We visited on Saturday and there were many glowing testimonies of how the Lord has been working through her teaching. It is more than evident God clearly is using Janice to help these women grow in grace and knowledge.

Please continue praying as this group doesnt have a proper pastor and therefore struggles to move forward.

Well water

For the average person living in a rural area in the Eastern province there is no such thing as internal plumbing.  Many women will spend hours each day walking to a shared bore hole and filling buckets that will be used for cooking, drinking, washing and cleaning. It is concenient to live near such a well but many can spend 30-45 minutes just walking to the well.

Language

Now that we are back it is time to fully immerse in language studies again. while out of the country, it was a nice break for my brain but I am again ready for the challenge of learning this language. It is my goal to soon have the ability and confidence to preach the life changing message of the gospel in the heart language of these Zambian people. Please pray for God's help and favor!

Finally

When we left Zambia last year I had submitted the paper work for our work permit renewal but wouldn't know the results until our return. Thankfully the process went smoothly and we have now extended our permit through September of 2015! This will allow us to continue with our church planting efforts and goals of reaching deeper into the rural areas!

return from furlough

After just over 6 months of furlough in the States we have returned to Zambia to continue with the work of the Gospel! While in the States we were able to visit many current churches as well as many new churches with the hope of increasing their vision for global evangelization. It is good to know there are still many American churches with a passion to see the world reached with the glorious message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was thrilled to visit the people from our first church plant (Big Tree Bible Baptist Church) this last Sunday. Although there was a funeral in a nearby village, the church house was still quite full with many familiar faces and even some new ones. News is spreading of God’s grace and salvation transforming lives demonstrated by 4 visitors coming and two of them having to walk more than an hour just to hear the message. Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray with us that the word of the Lord will not be bound but have free course as we desire to see many come to Christ and grow in His knowledge and Grace.
