With the rainy season upon us, we were not able to meet under our Big Tree. We are in the process of building a church building but it is not yet completed. So, this last Wednesday we all crowded into a woman's house and attempted to have a Bible study. There were about 22 adults and maybe 8-10 children packed into this small room... although a bit tight, the real problem was the lack of lighting. The only light source came from the open door... as you can see in the picture, it was pretty dark and many had no light to read their Bibles! Always some sort of challenge around here - it turned out to be a great Bible study (although, who knows, maybe everyone was sleeping) and I believe we were all encouraged and challenged!

I saw this in my browsing and thought it may solve issues just like this! May need to reinforce the ceiling in places, or have metal roofing "patches" in the thatch roof so the bottle can be securely in and water tight... but it seems to be very effective!!
Should we pack some 2L bottles or are they there?! Maybe little Coca Cola bottles all over and make it look like starlight!
